About the Book:
| Following the success of his first book, Half-Past Nowhere, Joseph Cavano has written another that promises to be even more popular. is a tightly written collection of short stories which takes a close look at love “broadly defined.” A jazz pianist, the author knows very well the power of minor keys. At times exotic, often surprising, they are most powerful when combined with other more familiar sounds; which is what he has done here. The new and the familiar. The dark and the bright. Each blended in such a way as to create a most interesting music.

Reviews:
| Love Songs in Minor Keys is a gripping collection of stories where idealistic young characters come to grips with the reality of a world much harder than they have imagined. Cavano treats his characters with respect and insight and compassion. His writing is clear and graceful, and his characters live on in our imaginations long after the stories end. Cavano is one to watch. -Tony Abbott, Ph.D., author of Leaving Maggie Hope By turns tough and tender, touching and tragic, Cavano’s lyrical tales of love, longing, and desire explore the mysteries of human relationships with impressive insight and sympathy.
