Descriptive Astronomy

Description

This course introduces an overall view of modern astronomy. Topics include an overview of the solar system, the sun, stars, galaxies, and the larger universe. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the universe around them. To receive science credit toward the AA or AS degree you must register for and complete AST 111A.

This course has been approved to satisfy the CAA general education core requirement in natural sciences/mathematics.
