Since 1987 she’s has been employed and contracted with various state agencies and other nonprofit organizations throughout her career. In 2002 she began her self-employed career as a nonprofit consultant for start-up and expanding nonprofit organizations. As a nonprofit consultant her services also included grant writing services, nonprofit and grant writing workshops and nonprofit classes at a local college in Savannah Georgia.  In 2007, Delores worked as a Program and Marketing Specialist for the Georgia Center for Nonprofit as a volunteer consultant under AmeriCorp. She provided supportive services for rural nonprofit organizations in Augusta Georgia and surrounding areas.  After assisting individuals and organizations in developing their own nonprofit organizations, she established her own nonprofit organization in 2009, Vinebrook Community Services (VCS).  VCS is a 501 c 3 organization where Delores is the founder and executive director. VCS has been growing and making significant changes in the community since its establishment; specifically, VCS works steadily with populations that some may deem as unredeemable.
