Ricky OrtizRicky Ortiz was born and raised in Durango, Mexico where he was inspired by the bold street food flavors. The taste of authentic Mexican food is something he was always passionate about. At the age of 12 he started work in a restaurant cleaning tables and by the age of 18 had done every job from fry, to sauté, to grill. Now, at just 21, Ricky Ortiz is the owner and operator of his own award-winning food truck, Tacos Rick-O. The young chef, whose name literally means delicious and rich, is cranking out authentic Mexican food and cranking up the Charlotte food truck scene one taco at a time. Ricky is passionate about sharing his knowledge to help other aspiring food truck owners take their fresh ideas to the streets and avoid common pitfalls.
