Why should I get certified?

Intuit QuickBooks is the industry leader in managerial accounting software. Becoming certified will validate your technical skills, demonstrate your proficiency and increase your marketability in a way that speaks to employers. If your a small business owner it will give you the assurance you need to know you can "do it yourself" and save a percentage of your accounting costs by managing your own books.

What topics do I need to know for the QuickBooks Certified User exam?

After I receive my test voucher, how long do I have to complete the exam?

You will have three weeks following your review class to set your test date at CPCC’s testing center located on the Central Campus in the Central High Building (room 248).  Note, if you do not pass on your first attempt you will have a limited period of time, 30 days, to take a retest.

How can I prepare for the test?

The first step is to enroll in the available training classes which will cover all the necessary aspects of QuickBooks that will be tested. The classes include: QuickBooks Level 1, QuickBooks Level 2 and QuickBooks Certified User: Exam Review and Certification Test.

Tell me more about the testing process.

The testing process is simple. After your review class contact CPCC’s Testing Center to schedule a date and time to take the exam. When you arrive, give them your test voucher and they will set you up at a computer workstation. You will have 50 minutes to complete the exam. When you pass the exam, Certiport will issue a certificate to confirm you’re officially an Intuit QuickBooks Certified User (employers can even go online to verify your certification).

How many questions are on the exam and what types of questions should I expect?

There are approximately 50 questions on the test. Test questions include multiple choice and simulation.

What can I do with this certificate?

The certificate demonstrates that you are competent in QuickBooks and that you have you have sat for and passed a proctored industry examination. Employers can verify your certification online and it is an excellent credential to add to your résumé.

How many times can I take the test?

Your test voucher includes a single take and a single retake. Note the retake must be used within 30 days of the first attempt.
