Business Formation Assistance
Through the CPCC's partnership with CharlotteLaw, CharlotteLaw students, supervised by a licensed attorney are available to assist you and your business.
CPCC's Small Business Center wants to help you organize your business so it will be a success! An important first step in launching your venture is deciding on and establishing the businesses legal formation. That is why the institute is happy to make available to you CharlotteLaw’s expertise to help with the creation of your business entity. They will help you plan for the business structure that is appropriate to your vision and goals. With regards to the establishment of your business’s legal entity CharlotteLaw will file all the necessary paperwork for you. Please note, while the services and advisement from CharlotteLaw are provided at no cost you, the business owner, are responsible for any application and licensing fees as per the fee schedule set forth by the Secretary of State or County Business License Office.
To be considered for no cost legal assistance your business must meet the following criteria:
- Business revenues are less than $50,000 a year
- Business assets do not exceed $50,000
If you meet the above criteria, please submit an online. ATTENTION: When completing the form please be sure in Section IV: Nature of Assistance to check the box that indicates “other” and type CharlotteLaw as the description.
