IAI NC division Conference Coming to Charlotte
The N.C.I.A.I. is an academic association whose purpose is to associate persons engaged in the many fields of forensic science and criminal investigation. To assist in the education and standardization of scientific analysis and crime detection and to provide for those engaged in the field to meet, discuss, and stay abreast of changing methodology and technology.
The conference will feature speakers, including Dr. Christina Brooks of Winthrop University, Dept. of Sociology and Anthropology and Dr. Khalid Lodhi, Fayetteville State University, Dept. of Natural Sciences as well as presentations by the CMPD crime lab. There will be a presentation by the television show “The First 48”, which is currently filming in Charlotte. and a presentation on Charlotte’s serial killer, Henry Wallace, by retired CMPD Homicide Detective Bill Ward.
The conference is an excellent way to become more involved with current criminal justice professionals and the conference registration fees are reasonable (Members $50, Non-Members $60 and student registration fee is only $30).
