To join CPCC’s Phi Lambda Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, complete the application form and pay the one-time membership fee of $100 to any CPCC cashier’s office. Make checks payable to CPCC and use account number 05-770-00-494006-41428.
To download the application form, click here. Please return the form and one copy of your receipt to the Student Life office, Overcash 241 at Central Campus. The deadline to turn in applications to be a part of the Spring 2013 Induction Ceremony is Wednesday, April 10.
The Phi Lambda chapter is also offering a Fee Waiver to a select number of students this semester. Fee Waivers are awarded in a competitive selection process, so application for the Fee Waiver is not a guarantee that it will be awarded. Students wishing to apply for the fee waiver must write an essay and perform at least 10 hours of community service. Students chosen for the Fee Waiver will be inducted into PTK without having to pay the $100 fee. If you are not chosen to receive the Fee Waiver, you may still pay the $100 to join by April 10. Students who were already inducted into Phi Theta Kappa at another community college may wish to transfer their membership in order to have PTK listed on their CPCC transcript or have the golden seal on their CPCC diploma. Download the Membership Transfer Form here.
