Lesley works in the Planning and Research Department here at CPCC. She started out part-time and she loved CPCC so much, she decided to go full-time a year ago. Lesley states, “I have grown up in Charlotte and seen CPCC grow over the years and am excited to be a part of such a wonderful institution. It is so refreshing to be part of an educational environment where our bottom line is the students.”

Lesley spends a lot of time volunteering at her church, especially with the children’s programs. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and five year old daughter, reading, and doing various arts and crafts projects.

As co-chair for the Professional Staff Welfare Committee, Lesley hopes to increase involvement from other Professional Staff members. She also wants to encourage Professional Staff to become more involved and take advantage of all of the opportunities CPCC has to offer.

The thing Lesley enjoys most about being a member of the Professional Staff Welfare Committee is the opportunity it provides to meet other people throughout the College. “I have met so many people due to becoming involved in Professional Staff and College Senate. It is wonderful to learn about what others do and how it all comes together to make CPCC such a great place to be – both for staff and students.”
