Example e-Procurement Approval Flow
Note 2: The following is an example of a procurement which could consist of even more approval steps (or less), depending upon the complexity. Electronic approvals expedite this process and could eliminate much of the email and voice mail currently required to accomplish all these approval steps.
Note 3: This example represents the acquisition of a new lab at Harper Campus, 25 seats, consisting of computers, software, and other technical and specialized equipment in the Welding Department. Some items are on state contract and others are not. The total cost is $200,000.00 to be paid from state equipment funds.
Note 4: The last person named in the approval flow of a requisition is where it currently resides, awaiting further action.
Note 5: Approvals in eProcurement could also be requested for Furniture Standards, Equipment, Budget, Community Relations, etc. simply by including the responsible person in the approval flow.
