CPCC supports faculty and staff attendance to both local and national conferences. If there is a conference that you feel should be added to this list, please contact the Office of Professional Development. You may view a complete list of funding options here.

American Association of Community Colleges - (AACC) is the primary advocacy organization for the nation's community colleges. The AACC supports and promotes its member colleges through policy initiatives, innovative programs, research and information and strategic outreach to business and industry and the national news media. American Association for Women in Community College (AAWCC) - is guided in all of its endeavors by a firm commitment to equity and excellence in education and employment for women in community, junior and technical colleges. More info

Academic Chairpersons Conference - is an annual forum where academic chairpersons, administrators, and faculty from all areas of higher education share the most successful, innovative ideas and strategies to assist each other in becoming more effective in their positions. More info

Center for Occupational Research and Development - (CORD) is a national nonprofit organization providing innovative changes in education to prepare students for greater success in careers and higher education. CORD assists educators in secondary schools and colleges through new curricula, teaching strategies, professional development, and partnerships with community leaders, families, and employers. Eastern Regional Competency Based Education Consortium (ERBEC) - is a Consortium made up of Educational Institutions interested in promoting the concept of quality education through identifying up front what should be taught in a curriculum. More info

League for Innovation in the Community College - is an international organization dedicated to catalyzing the community college movement. The League hosts conferences and institutes, develops Web resources, conducts research, produces publications, provides services, and leads projects and initiatives with member colleges, corporate partners, and other agencies in a continuing effort to make a positive difference for students and communities. Lilly Conferences on College & University Teaching - are retreats that combine workshops, discussion sessions, and major addresses, with opportunities for informal discussion about excellence in college and university teaching and learning. More info

North Carolina Community College Student Development Personnel Association (N3CSDPA) - strives to enhance the effectiveness of development of students within the Community College System. More info

North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities (NCICU) - represents independent higher education in the areas of state and federal public policy and on education issues with the other sectors of education in the state. More info
