New Employee Orientations

Welcome to Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC). In order to help you get acquainted with the college and its services, the Office of Professional Development hosts New Employee Orientation at CPCC.

Orientation, Day 1

The first part is a day-long workshop scheduled for the first Tuesday on an alternating monthly schedule. At this workshop, you get the opportunity to:

  • Learn about some fundamental services of the college that will help you do your job better
  • Meet representatives from various college departments and programs
  • Participate in three required training sessions
Lunch is provided!

Orientation, Day 2

A few weeks later, New Employee Orientation Day 2, a half-day workshop, is held on the third Friday on an alternating monthly schedule from 8 a.m. -12 p.m. During this workshop, you will:

  • Participate in three additional required training sessions
  • Attend a workshop on how to use LearnerWeb, our electronic training tracking system


Note that New Employee Orientation and the follow-up workshops are required trainings for all new CPCC employees. It is important to complete this training within the first month of your hire and no later than three months from your date of hire. Register in LearnerWeb
