College Fellows

The College Fellows Program at CPCC is aimed at finding new ways to enhance learning by matching intellectual innovation with academic need. The College Fellows Program will offer selected full-time faculty and professional staff compensated time to re-engage with their disciplines and to explore what inspired us to become learners in the first place; rekindling the creative spark is part and parcel of the very same process that drives the entrepreneurial spirit so vital to our college's mission.

College Fellows provides:

• Reassigned time for research in your academic field
• Funding for project expenses:
• Supplies
• Travel costs
• Conference fees
• Student research intern
• Collaboration with other nearby institutions and industries

Applications are evaluated on:

• Benefits to students
• Benefits to faculty
• Benefits to the college
• Originality
• Intellectual merit

Applicants should demonstrate proficiency in their subject area and propose a research project that supports the values of CPCC’s Learning College in its focus on:

• Student centered learning
• College readiness
• Career  preparation
• Industry ready

Upon completion, Fellows will share new information and teaching strategies with the CPCC learning community via workshops, presentations, and/or publication.

• Fellows will be designated as a College Fellow
• This designation may be included on CPCC business cards, division/department listings, and in our college catalog

The College Fellows Committee, comprised of full-time faculty, will evaluate applications, assign the research track, and recommend final selections to the Vice President of Instruction.
