Don't forget to check out our job board next to the paralegal faculty offices at Cato! There are
paid jobs and some unpaid internships.
Are you ready to graduate? The graduation office asks that you apply for graduation the semester
before you anticipate finishing, so that you can easily make up any shortages without postponing
graduation. If you have already missed that date, don't worry, just apply right away, especially if
you are graduating in May! See details on the graduation website.
The North Carolina Certified Paralegal exam is typically given in April and October of each year.
You must apply to sit for the exam and deadlines apply. Please visit their website for details.
Students may take a combination of traditional, hybrid, and online courses; however, students are required to take at least ten semester credits or the equivalent of legal specialty courses through traditional classroom instruction.
Note: Paralegals may not provide legal services to the public, except as permitted by law.
