Enrollment Steps
1. Complete an admissions form for CPCC here or at your local campus.
2. Create your username and password for your CPCC Login here. Your CPCC Login is your link to many personalized services including registration, viewing grades, CPCC email and your financial aid status. You must set up your CPCC email separately by going here. Follow steps for activating your email.
3. Take the Accuplacer test at your local campus. These tests determine your placement into appropriate math, reading and English courses. You may go online here to review on-line practice assessments.
*CPCC now accepts SAT and ACT scores. Please view the new SAT/ACT Placement Test Waiver on our testing website to see if this applies to you. CPCC will only accept official SAT/ACT scores from an official high school transcript, ACT, or the College Board.
4. Meet with an academic advisor or counselor after completing your placement test or submitting your SAT/ACT scores. An academic advisor or counselor will meet with you to review your test results, discuss program offerings, and help determine course selections. http://www.cpcc.edu/ican/
5. Request an official transcript mailed from your high school (after graduation).
Mail to:
Central Piedmont Community College
Attn: Student Records
PO Box 35009
Charlotte, NC 28235-5009
***If you have previous college credit, request an official transcript from that college or university to be mailed to the above address. Once the transcript arrives at CPCC you need to complete a transcript evaluation form found online.
6. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov. The CPCC school code is 002915. Once the FAFSA is completed, you must check your CPCC email for all communication from the Financial Aid Department at CPCC.
7. Register for classes at your local campus or online using your MyCollege account.
8. Pay for your tuition and fees. The more classes you take the higher your tuition. Your registration is not complete until you have paid your tuition and your fees. You can pay through your CPCC Login or at a local campus. If you do not pay your tuition bill by the correct pay date, your classes will be dropped. Be sure to check your residency status via your CPCC Login.
