Office Administration Information for Work-Based Learning

If you are interested in completing a co-op, listed below is a summary of the requirements:

  • You must complete 160 hours over the 16 week Fall or Spring semester.
  • You will work with your employer to determine scheduled hours.
  • The COE/WBL 111 is worth 1 credit towards your program

Remember co-op positions are designed to give students experience within their area of study. These positions are usually non-paid.

Please visit and follow the steps below to begin the process:

    1. Complete the co-op application found at this link.
    2. Make an appointment with Career Services to update your resume and work on interviewing skills.
    3. Schedule a meeting with your faculty advisor for sign-off. Your faculty advisor is assigned by the first letter of your last name. Please visit this link to find out who your faculty advisor is. Be sure to bring your completed application and updated resume to the meeting with your faculty advisor.
    4. Schedule a meeting with Mia Mallory for discussion about co-op placement. She can be reached by e-mail at

    You MUST have approval from your Faculty Advisor before registering and/or meeting with the Workplace Learning Coordinator. Below are the eligibility sheets that show the requirements needed to sign up for WBL. Please bring your WBL application along with a copy of your résumé when meeting with your Faculty Advisor.
