Measurable Learning Objectives for Human Services Internships

1-Eligibility Requirements:  Students enrolled in Co-op approved curriculm should meet the following eligbility requirements prior to placement:

A.  Maintain a minimum 2.5 program GPA.

B.  A minimum of twelve semester hours credit (12 SHC) must be completed within the appropriate program of study before a studnet can be eligible to recieve coop credit.  (see below.)  A minimum of 3 SCH must come from the core within the students major.

C.  Have satisfactorily completed a combination of units of courses below:

      HSE 110: Introduction to Human Services

      HSE 112: Group Processing 1

      HSE 120: Interpersonal Relations

      HSE 150: General Psychology

      SOC 213: Sociology of the Family

      ENG 111 - Expository Writing

D. Be recommended for placement by the faculty of the Human Services Departiment.

2- A.  The semester a student enrolls in Coop they must take an additional 3 SHC class.  (Except during the summer semester or if they have compelted all course requirements for graduation.

     B.Each student particpatin in the coop work experience will be enrolled in a seminar class in order to process what he/she is learning in the field.
