Global Medical Brigades Summary

I had the unique opportunity to go on a medical mission to Honduras for a week through Global Medical Brigade (http://www.globalbrigades.org/project/medical/about-us/).  I was placed in a group of other students that had formed close bonds and close connections, but that didn't matter because we were all there for a single purpose...to bring aid to the secluded villages of a nation oppressed by poverty.  I feel as though any uneasiness at not speaking the same language was removed almost immediately. I didn't need to speak...all I needed to do was smile. The people were so grateful!
