Thank you for your interest in Central Piedmont Community College's Cardiovascular Technology Program, North Carolina's premier and only nationally accredited program for both Non-Invasive Cardiology (Adult Echocardiography) and Invasive Cardiology (Cardiac Catheterization) education.

With clinical sites in Charlotte, NC and throughout Mecklenburg County as well as in Cabarrus, Catawba, Gaston, Rowan and Union Counties, the Cardiovascular Technology Program is your gateway to achieving the academic and clinical training required to work as a Cardiovascular Specialist in today's rapidly changing and technologically advanced health care system.

The Application Deadline for acceptance into the FA 2014 CVT Program has been extended until Friday, April 4th, 2014.  Please submit all application to Tammi Smith, BL3139 by the close of business on the 31st.  Thank you!

The 2014 application is available through the "Program Application" tab to the left or outside HE 3100 on Central Campus. Please read the application carefully as all requirements are binding.

The Cardiovascular Technology Program at CPCC is nationally accredited through The Council on Accreditation of Allied Health Educational Programs (CAAHEP) in both the Invasive and Noninvasive cardiology concentrations.

The Board of Directors of CAAHEP as well as the Joint Review Committee on Cardiovascular Technology (JRC-CVT) recognized the programs "substantial compliance" with the nationally established accreditation standards set by CAAHEP, the American College of Cardiology, the Society of Invasive Cardiovascular Professionals, the American College of Radiology the American Society of Echocardiography and the Society of Vascular Ultrasound.

This very high accomplishment demonstrates the commitment to excellence by the faculty, administration and the clinical sites, and we hope to become actively involved in shaping your career!
