Juan Garzon

Juan Garzón is the founder and managing partner of the Garzón Company, where he helps entrepreneurs and organizations craft clear and compelling stories that help grow their business. He has spent more than 15 years in marketing, ranging from running his own startup while in college to heading up marketing for a global market research firm. Garzón also serves as the founder and managing editor at StartCharlotte, a digital publication connecting Charlotte’s startup community, and director of PitchBreakfast, Charlotte’s premier, monthly startup pitching event, as well as an advisor to several startups and accelerator programs. He has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Johnson & Wales University-Charlotte.

Dina Carey

Dina Carey is the Founder and CEO of the first functional foods company for new and aspiring moms. Their flagship product, MILKFUL lactation bars, help nursing moms produce more nutrient-rich breast milk.  After experiencing challenges milk supply while breastfeeding her first daughter, Dina realized there was a significant lack of wholesome/functional food products supporting motherhood- and became impassioned to support other moms during this transformative time.
Prior to founding MILKFUL, Dina spent 8 years in Program Development for Carolinas Healthcare System. While there, she went back to school for Baking & Pastry Arts to pursue her love of cooking and baking. Dina holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Georgia- where she was recently nominated for the 40 Under 40 award.Dina recently completed the prestigious Techstars Accelerator program (Austin, TX). Since then, Dina and her team have been focused on expanding the product portfolio to encompass a system of functional food products that will: prepare a woman’s body for pregnancy, support her health while carrying a baby, heal her body after delivery, and increase the quantity and quality of her milk supply.

Lisa Speer

Lisa Speer is a branding expert and coach. She built her career in NYC working at agencies on global brands such as New Balance, Samsung, Volvo and Hilton Worldwide. Along the way she also became an entrepreneur and an ICF credentialed coach.
She created her business, Speer Creative Edge, to help entrepreneurs build their authentic brand through strategy, design and coaching - so they can connect with their ideal clients in a clear, cohesive and compelling way. Lisa combines more than twenty years experience in the creative industry alongside her eight years as a coach to help her small business clients gain an edge and stand out.

Anita Staton

Anita Staton is the founder and CEO of Miles Enterprise Solutions (MES). Miles is a professional services firm located in Charlotte, North Carolina that uses an integrated approach to innovation. MES has five lines of business:  technology services, government operations, logistics, facilities maintenance and training. Anita provides the vision and leadership for the company and sets the corporate strategy. She founded Miles after 24 years of experience in the corporate sector and has led the company since inception.
Anita is a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during Operation Desert Shield/Storm. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Economics from High Point University and is currently pursuing an MBA from Strayer University.
Anita is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and previously served on the board of directors for the North Carolina Veteran’s Business Association.

David Stuck

David Stuck is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School, and studied business management at Clemson and sustainable entrepreneurship at UMASS Amherst.
He has worked at upscale restaurants on both the east and west coasts, from Bethany’s Table in Portland, Oregon to a handful of kitchens in both North and South Carolina.
Stemming from his experiences as part of multiple restaurant launch teams and management experience, David decided to launch a gourmet food truck and catering company with his partner Nick Lischerong.
David manages daily operations for each individual entity, including financial oversight, HR, scheduling, cost controls, system implementation, human resources, marketing, and sales growth. He works directly with the CEO on strategic development. TIN Kitchen now operates 3 food trucks, a catering company, event rentals, and a café in uptown Charlotte. They have some exciting projects coming up in the near future.
