Glenn Burkins

Glenn H. Burkins is editor/publisher of Qcitymetro.com, a news website he founded in 2008 to serve Charlotte's African American community. He previously was business editor and later deputy managing editor for news at The Charlotte Observer. Glenn has been a reporter at newspapers including the Los Angeles Times, St. Petersburg (Fla.) Times, Philadelphia Inquirer and Wall Street Journal. He covered the Clinton White House, the historic election of Nelson Mandela in South Africa, the 1994 genocide in Rwanda, one of the early outbreaks of Ebola in the former Zaire, and the NATO mission in Kosovo, where he was embedded with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit. Glenn holds a journalism degree from the University of South Carolina.

Juan Garzon


Juan Garzón is the founder and managing partner of the Garzón Company, where he helps entrepreneurs and organizations craft clear and compelling stories that help grow their business. He has spent more than 15 years in marketing, ranging from running his own startup while in college to heading up marketing for a global market research firm. Garzón also serves as the founder and managing editor at StartCharlotte, a digital publication connecting Charlotte’s startup community, and director of PitchBreakfast, Charlotte’s premier, monthly startup pitching event, as well as an advisor to several startups and accelerator programs. He has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Johnson & Wales University-Charlotte.

Igor Gorlatov

Igor Gorlatov is the managing partner at FractionalCMOs and principal at Successful Negotiators Club (SuccessfulNegotiators.com). Originally from Belarus, he moved to Charlotte in 2016 after falling in love with the U.S. when studying marketing on a Fulbright Scholarship. Currently, Gorlatov works with companies in Charlotte helping them mobilize their marketing teams and enable faster growth as a part-time chief marketing officer. His clients include Innovate Charlotte (inclt.org), startup UNYQ (unyq.com) and others. Gorlatov is also actively involved in the community as the lead organizer at 1 Million Cups Charlotte, which is a pitching event for early stage companies.


Lindsey Braciale

Lindsey Haaser Braciale is a social entrepreneur who is focused on amplifying the way companies source, hire and retain talent with disabilities. In 2008, while working as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Lindsey saw a business opportunity in the midst of the global financial crisis. Even though jobs were vanishing, companies still had work to do, and they turned to contingent labor. As a result, Braciale started Advocations, one of the first disability-only staffing and recruiting firms. She has a degree in Computer Science and Psychology from the University of Virginia, a master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling from the Medical College of Virginia at VCU and attends the Executive Education Program at Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business.

Caitlin Sellers

Caitlin Sellers provides digital sales and marketing therapy to in-house teams, agency leaders and entrepreneurs. Caitlin will take to your deepest digital woes and give you the tools to solve your problems and maintain a clean bill of online health. Sellers is also the co-founder of “Lady Tech Charmers,” a women in tech and female leadership podcast. Additionally, she is on the board for the Plaza Midwood Merchants Association focusing on community relations. In her free time, you can find her in Plaza Midwood with her dogs Oliver and Oscar, a local kombucha in one hand and a forkful of barbeque in the other.
