Elizabeth Ave. to close Feb. 11 for Central Campus Construction Project

Elizabeth Avenue between Charlottetowne Avenue and North Kings Drive will close on Saturday, February 11, 2012, at 7 a.m. and will re-open the same day at 3 p.m. This closure is necessary for crane work on the CPCC Taylor Hall Building. The inbound detour into uptown will be left on Charlottetowne Avenue, right on East Fourth Street, right on North Kings Drive and left back on to Elizabeth Avenue. The outbound detour will be right on North Kings Drive, left on East Third Street, left on Charlottetowne Avenue and right back on to Elizabeth Avenue.

Local access will be maintained and CATS will be affected.

CPCC community members traveling through this work zone area should be alert and extra cautious. Drivers should get in the correct lane well in advance and constantly be on the lookout for vehicles merging into adjacent travel lanes as they approach a work zone.  Drivers should double their following distance.
