WHAT: Central Piedmont Community College’s (CPCC) Small Business Center, together with lead sponsor Charlotte Business Resources, plan to kickoff Small Business Month on May 5 with an exclusive screening of “Startupland.”

“Startupland,” a documentary series, tells the story of five early-stage tech companies as they journey through an accelerator program. Each story is interwoven with advice and interviews from experienced entrepreneurs like Steve Case (AOL), Tim O’Shaughnessy (LivingSocial) and others.

Created to inspire and empower entrepreneurs to bring their ideas to the world, “Startupland” has been formatted as one long story, told episodically, similar to a season on television. During the event, attendees will preview the first two episodes in sequence.

In addition to the screening, the evening’s festivities will include a Q&A, networking opportunities and fare (for purchase) from local food trucks.

Individuals are encouraged to register early as seating is limited.

We look forward to seeing you there!

WHEN: Monday, May 5
Networking and food trucks: 5:30 p.m.
Screening: 6:30 – 9 p.m.

WHERE: Tate Hall, Overcash Center, CPCC Central Campus, 1206 Elizabeth Ave., Charlotte

CONTACT: This event is open to the public. Registration is required for this event. For more information or to RSVP, visit www.cpcc.edu/sbc/startupland.
