CPCC to co-sponsor JOBS Act event on October 31
WHAT: Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) invites the public to attend “Investors, Entrepreneurs, Founders and the JOBS Act,” an event the college is co-sponsoring to give entrepreneurs, investors, legal advisors and others more information on the Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations.
This law poses new challenges for angel investors and company founders in different ways. Donald Reynolds, securities/corporate attorney at Wyrick Robbins, will offer expert legal insight on how the JOBS Act creates both opportunities and traps. Following his remarks, Paul Wetenhall, president of Ventureprise, will moderate a panel discussion, giving panelists an opportunity to respond and share their personal experience as investors and venture advisors.
