CPCC Small Business Center to host Ask-A-Lawyer Day Jan. 30

The Small Business Center (SBC) at Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC), together with the N.C. Bar Association and NC LEAP (the North Carolina Lawyers for Entrepreneurs Assistance Program), will host an “Ask-A-Lawyer Day” on Jan. 30 to give small business owners an opportunity to speak with an attorney, free of charge, about transactional business issues. NC LEAP is a public service program of the North Carolina Bar Association that provides pro bono legal services to low-wealth entrepreneurs and business owners.

Business owners with questions about specific legal issues related to their business are urged to attend this event. The ideal participant will have legal questions about starting, growing or closing a business.

The following attorneys are scheduled to be in attendance and meet with individuals one on one. They include Joseph Norman, Fred Parker, Cameron Cooke, M. Heath Gilbert, Anna Mills and Jeremy Stephenson.

Please note: if an attendee has an issue where he/she is being sued, attorneys at the event cannot assist the individual.

WHEN: Thursday, Jan. 30; 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
