The CPCC Small Business Center is excited to offer two scholarship opportunities: the Thomas J. Hall Scholarship for Continuing Education Studies at the Small Business Center and The Fine Arts Entrepreneur Scholarship from the Arts and Science Council. Applications are currently being accepted for both scholarship opportunities.

  • The Thomas J. Hall Scholarship for Continuing Education Studies at the Small Business Center was created to support the development of new and existing entrepreneurs who will contribute to business and economic development in Mecklenburg County.

Students pursuing continuing education in Entrepreneurial Studies at CPCC’s Small Business Center and who display significant potential as a successful entrepreneur and future business leader will be considered for this $200 scholarship for the new Business Model Canvas course beginning this fall.

  • The Fine Arts Entrepreneur Scholarship from the Arts and Science Council supports the next generation of artisans to become successful entrepreneurs.  Funded by the Arts & science Council, the scholarship strives to help local artisans, who are seeking to gain entrepreneurial skills, turn their talent and art form into a thriving business venture.

Students who express an interest in enrolling in the Small Business Center’s seven-week course, “The Fine Arts Entrepreneur,” and meet the eligibility requirements, may be awarded a $125 scholarship during the fall 2014 or spring 2015 semesters. The course provides artists with tools, information and resources to enable them to define their market and refine a plan for a new and creative sustainable business.
