Tweet: Educators collaborate for math workshop designed to enhance student learning & outcomes

Join the Central Piedmont Community College Mathematics Division as we bring together high school math teachers, community college mathematics instructors and college and university mathematics professors for an informative math workshop designed to develop customized solutions that enhance student learning and outcomes in math courses.

Hear from keynote speaker, Paul Nolting, Ph.D., a nationally recognized learning specialist, who will share research-based strategies and best practices on how to achieve math success in the technology-rich classroom.

Attendees will have an opportunity to participate in breakout sessions led by experienced colleagues in each of the three Math Education Sectors. Sessions will focus on the following topics:

• How can mathematics curricula and instructional strategies be successfully applied in both high school and university/college classrooms? What recent technology tools can we apply?

• How can post-secondary instructors help provide meaningful mathematics-based research experiences that prepare undergraduates for the transition into advanced STEM studies? Where does this process begin and how is it maintained?
