Area decision makers to discuss building the Charlotte region as a global hub of commerce
WHAT: Regional and national policy makers and business leaders will gather to participate in CPCC’s sixth annual Global Competitiveness Summit on March 15 to discuss talent and innovation in the Charlotte region.
Join us at this year’s event as local leaders continue to discuss and determine how to most effectively grow global assets within the Charlotte region.

During the event, Brent Cagle, aviation director for Charlotte Douglas International Airport, will receive the inaugural Global Excellence Award. The Steering Committee for the Global Vision Leaders Group unanimously agreed to present Brent with the award, which recognizes the crucial role the airport plays in making the greater Charlotte region a global hub of commerce. As aviation director, Brent provides the leadership to expand and improve the airport’s facilities and the airfield to accommodate the 44 million passengers who travel annually through Charlotte Douglas International to 165 domestic and international destinations. Charlotte Douglas International has become the fifth busiest airport in the U.S. and the ninth highest in passengers.
