Steps to Apply

You will need to follow the following steps to be considered for the Summer Bridge program.


CPCC Summer Bridge Application Process
2018 Program
June 18 - July 26
Monday thru Thursday

Campuses - Levine, Harper, Merancas, Cato, Harris and Central

1. Apply for residency determination: NCResidency

2.  Apply to CPCC at the: CPCC General Application.

      • Follow instructions for obtaining a CPCC ID #, log-in information, and email.

      3.  Once CPCC general application is completed, apply to the Summer Bridge Program at: SB Application

      4.  Upon completion of these two applications, submit the following documentation, or complete the necessary testing and requirements:

            • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at to determine financial aid (Please note - You will need both parent and student must complete FAFSA forms).
            • Submit transcripts for evaluation ONLY if you have an unweighted GPA of a 2.6 OR qualifying ACT/SAT scores to take college-level courses.
            • Take the CPCC NCDAP placement test by May 15, 2018, ONLY if you don't have the qualifying ACT/SAT scores or GPA.
            • All documentation must be submitted no later than May 1 to:

        5.  Once all documentation has been received, applications will be reviewed for acceptance

            • Letters of acceptance will be mailed no later than mid May


                  6.  Once you have received your letter of acceptance, you must go to ACCEPT ADMITTANCE to accept your seat in the Summer Bridge Program. (Your seat WILL NOT be held unless you complete this step.)

                      7.  Once you have accepted via the online form, you must sign up for one of the mandatory orientations to be held in June 2018:

                        • You only have to attend one (1) of these meetings, but one is required.
                        • At orientation you will receive your contract and your schedule
                        • This is the time which you may make any changes to your schedule if needed. Once orientation is over, no changes can be made.
