Web Site Spotlights
Community Relations manages the placement of spotlights on the College homepage. These spotlights are announcements that inform the college community about important news. Examples of spotlights include:
- News about changes in college programs
- Information about important college events
- Events in the local community
- College services for students and the community
- Official announcements from administrative units
- Advisory notices of imminent extraordinary circumstances (e.g. cancellations)
- Other informative notices and announcements that are consistent with the college’s mission.
College employees may submit spotlight requests via the College intranet. Submissions will be reviewed for content and syntax. Community Relations reserves the right to reject any submission.
Event Planning
The College Event Coordinator assists the College community in conceptualizing, planning, coordinating, and executing successful events consistent with the strategic goals of the college. To ensure a successful event, it is important to take these steps:
- Contact the College Event Coordinator at 704-330-6667 to discuss your event and the goals you are trying to achieve, and to set a time for a meeting. Prior to meeting, it is suggested that you complete a Creative Work Plan to assist you in determining what kind of event would be appropriate for your situation.
- Complete a Creative Work Plan (http://inside.cpcc.edu/marketing/forms/)
- Bring the completed Creative Work Plan to the first event-planning meeting. At this meeting, discussion will center on determining the kind of event and the best measure of the event’s success. These determinations come from the information you have completed in the Creative Work Plan. In addition, you will be given an event planning worksheet to help guide you through all of the necessary details in executing a successful event.
- Post your event on the College Events Calendar
