The semester term (16 weeks) includes a final examination week. For full-term regularly scheduled classes, a final examination schedule is included in the Class Listing Schedule, the current CPCC catalog and the Academic Calendar. It is expected that most faculty will choose to give final examinations but instructors are not required to give a final examination. However, if a final examination is not given at the scheduled time, instruction must continue at the time that the examination is scheduled in order to complete the total number of hours scheduled for the class. If a class is dismissed instead of giving the exam or teaching during the exam time, the College is liable for an FTE audit exception. The Testing Center is not to be used for the administration of final examinations.
Final exams are not scheduled for 8-week terms, fall and spring nor are they scheduled for summer term.
