Reassigned Time/Stipend Categories
- The following categories have been approved by the Learning Council for faculty reassigned time or stipend
- Additions to the list or changes in the amount of reassigned time/stipend must be approved by the Learning Council
- Approval for a faculty member to exceed 50% total reassigned time of a full-time faculty teaching load must be approved by the Vice President for Learning
- A stipend is based on the current part-time course rate

Reassigned Time/Stipend | 3 hours reassigned time per semester or stipend; evaluate each semester |

Description | To develop new courses, either for traditional or online delivery |
Reassigned Time/Stipend | Up to 1 hour reassigned time per course credit hour or stipend |
| Required Coordination/Training | |
Description | Programs where day-to-day supervision is required by external agencies; for example Apprenticeship 2000, GM, Toyota and Chrysler automotive projects; Early Childhood credentials; & IT training |
Reassigned Time/Stipend | 1-3 hours reassigned time range or stipend per semester with dean approval required plus inform other deans |
| Program Accreditation/Program Review | |
Description | At the program/discipline level, overseeing accreditation self-studies and writing required reports. This category may also be used for program review if there is only one full-time faculty member for the program/discipline |
Reassigned Time/Stipend | 1-3 hours reassigned time range or stipend per semester, per program |
| Leadership Responsibilities | |
Description | Chairing a College committee or engaged in College or Learning Unit work of significant nature |
Reassigned Time/Stipend | 1-3 hours reassigned time range or stipend per semester per assignment |
| Maintenance Responsibilities | |
Description | Performing essential tasks outside the scope of the program/discipline chair responsibilities in order to keep programs operating smoothly |
Reassigned Time/Stipend | 1-3 hours reassigned time range or stipend per semester per assignment |
| Discipline Chair/Program Chair | |
Description | Performing assigned administrative duties in addition to teaching responsibilities |
Reassigned Time/Stipend | 1-9 hours reassigned time or stipend per semester according to approved calculation |
