The Lump Sum Merit Award is given to faculty and staff who demonstrate exceptional skills and abilities in their work at the College during the previous year. This award is in the amount of $2,000.00
The Teaching Excellence Award funded by the state is given for exceptional teaching, service to students, commitment to professional growth, and service to the College and our community. This award is calculated on the number of faculty that will receive the award and the amount of money available.
The Accelerated Advancement Award allows an employee’s base salary to accelerate by a maximum of 5 percent, but not above the maximum of the position pay grade.
The Larry M. Harding Educator/Community Service Award, carries a monetary stipend and a plaque, is given to a CPCC employee who best exemplifies excellence as an educator and who has also rendered outstanding service to the community.
The O’Herron Fellow Award is to recognize and promote excellence in teaching, which was established by Ed O’Herron entrepreneur, distinguished North Carolina State legislator and philanthropist. This award along with a plaque and monetary stipend is given to an outstanding faculty member.
