U-Drive

As a CPCC employee, you have online storage for your digital data. Once you are logged into any campus computer and save data to "My Documents," the information will be saved to your U-Drive.

There are important benefits to this service:

  • You have easy access to all of your files from any CPCC computer. (You must log into the computer using your employee, SNAP / CPCC Login ID.) You may also access your files via the Internet.
  • Centralized storage means centralized backup. Your data is protected from a computer crash or other hardware related problems.
  • In case you have forgotten a disc to give a presentation, you can log into your U-Drive and retrieve what you need from any computer with Internet access.

Whenever you are logged into a computer on the CPCC network, the 'My Documents' folder is mapped to your U-Drive. Simply saving your documents there will ensure you have access when you need them.

To access your U-drive files from a remote computer, use the instructions provided on the webfolder access page.

Did you know that you can now access your files from any off campus computer? All you need is a fast internet connection and Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 5.0 or later).

Access to your network user drive is available securely, over the web. No longer will you need floppy disks or email attachments to get to your files. Simply go to the ITS web folder setup page , enter your network Login ID (3 initials, followed by the last 4 digits of your SS, then e), click the hyperlink, and you're there. You can save, delete, edit, or move any files you like.

Due to great variation in the configurations and applications used to access the internet, support for home users experiencing connectivity issues to the college web site will be limited. Only Internet Explorer 5.0 or later will be supported (ITS recommends Internet Explorer version 6 SP1, it's free!).

If you need further assistance, or have questions regarding this service, please direct them to the ITS Help Desk at ext. 5000.
