How To Use the Kyocera MFP

Instructions on Print job configuration, Scanning, and Faxing.

I. PRINTING
To utilize the Kyocera Print Functions, simply select File – Print from your computer. From this window select the Kyocera Printer from the drop down menu.

Finishing
Finishing touches, such as stapling, sorting, and including a water mark, can easily be added to any print job with a few short clicks.

To access the finishing properties, follow the normal steps to select your Printer, (i.e., the unit you want to print to, local printer or network printer). From this window select the Kyocera Printer from the Name drop down tab. Next, click on the Properties button located in the top right hand corner.

The Properties tab provides the options for putting those nice finishing touches to your printed material, reducing the time and effort needed to complete your print job.

The main tabs for configuring such options include:

1. Media
  • Page Size - letter or legal
  • Orientation - Portrait or Landscape
2. Layout
  • Duplexing Options
  • Booklet Mode
3. Output
  • Output to Option
  • Collate
4. Watermark
  • Include notices such as Draft or Confidential

II. SCANNING

A. Scanning To E-mail - From the Address Book

1. At the Kyocera printer, press the Scanner key located on the left side of the control panel.

2. Select the Send E-mail function.

3. Select the Address Book function.

4. While the Address Book function is selected, select the name from the Address list.
Note: These names are manually entered in the printer's address book. If the address you need is not listed here, follow the directions for Scanning to Email - From Enter Dest below.

5. Select the TO: function, then you should see TO: next to the name selected .
6. Select Close on this menu
7. Press the Start key, (located on the right side of the control panel), to send your scan to the e-mail address selected.

B. Scanning To E-mail - From Enter Dest
This is for those names not in the printer's Address Book

1. At the Kyocera printer, press the Scanner key located on the left side of the control panel.

2. Select the Send E-mail function.

3. Select the Enter Dest function.

4. Key in the email address of the person you are emailing the scan to.

5. Select the TO:, CC:, or BCC: function, and then select the Enter function.
6. Press the Start key, (located on the right side of the control panel), to send your scan to the email address(es) you specified.

III. FAXING
1. At the Kyocera printer, press the Fax key located on the left side of the control panel.

2. Load the paper(s) to be faxed.
3. Type in the telephone number of the person you want to send a fax to.
4. Press the Start key, (located on the right side of the control panel), to send your fax.
