Information Technology
Welcome to Information Technology (IT) @CPCC!
This site is frequently being updated to reflect changes to our programs as we move toward a concentrated approach with foundations in completing certificates of specialization that build to a complete degree. If you are not able to find the information you need here, please let us know what is missing or misleading by emailing us at IT_Education@cpcc.edu.
Our primary mission is workforce development for Mecklenburg and surrounding counties. To support that mission we are always upgrading our programs to reflect business and industry changes. The biggest change includes the inauguration of the Computer Technology Integration degree (A25500) with specialties (in the form of a diploma) in a specific area of the IT Industry.
If you’re interested in shorter programs than a degree, consider either a diploma (specialty) or a CPCC Certificate. Of particular interest may be our list of programs that will prepare students to sit for industry certification examinations. These industry certifications can lead to employment in entry-level IT positions.
If you need help getting started, complete the 5 steps to enrollment suggested on this page.
