Here is a 4-years planning checklist for a student who does not know ASL and want to take ASL 111 as the first ASL course.
If a student already does know ASL, he/she should go and take the ASL placement test. See "ASL Placement Test" in the menu left for more information.

Interpreter Training Club (ITC) News and Events

The purpose of the Interpreter Training Club is to foster and encourage involvement in the Deaf Community in the Charlotte region.
Students plan events with the Deaf Community and attend events in the Deaf Community.
In the past, the student club has also participated in the ASL Festival in Boston, NCSD's Homecoming, Deaf Expo and Gallaudet's Homecoming in Washington,DC.

Field Trip to Gallaudet University - Oct. 16-19, 2008

A group of12 students along with the instructor James Wilson and his wife Robin traveled to Gallaudet University. They had a tour around the campus on Friday, Oct. 17th, and they attended the high school football game played between MSSD and Alabama School for the Deaf. On Saturday, Oct. 18th, they had the tour in Gallaudet President's house, and attended the Gallaudet Homecoming event. Then in the evening, they went to National Mall to see gorgeous monuments and memorials. What a blast weekend they had!
