Programs and Services
Individual advising sessions with a transfer advisor are provided to review transfer programs, assist students with researching 4-year colleges and programs, transfer requirements, prerequisites and appropriate course selection. Students will develop a plan to maximize transfer credits. Students meet with advisors on a drop-in basis.
Online Transfer Advising
Transfer Online Advising is only for current Transfer Students with 30 Credits or more who are enrolled in the Associate in Arts, Associate in Science or the Diploma in Arts or Diploma in Science. Transfer Online Advising only provides students with recommended coursework for the upcoming semester through e-mail. Click here to get started. Transfer Tuesdays
At Transfer Tuesday Admissions representatives from four-year institutions visit CPCC to meet with prospective transfer students and answer questions about admissions procedures, transfer policies, financial aid and scholarships.
Transfer Fair
The Transfer Resource Center welcomes over 45 colleges and universities to the Central Campus every October. Representatives will be available to meet informally with students to discuss their degree programs, transfer polices, admission requirements, application procedures and financial aid. This program is open to all students.
Transfer Talks
Once a month the TRC will bring public and private colleges and universities to campus to talk about their institution in greater detail. Academic advisors from the college or university will be on hand to answer questions about the academic requirements and demands. Students from the respective college will also be on hand to talk about the cultural and social atmosphere of the campus. This program is a great way to ask specific questions about several aspects of the 4-year college experience. Watch for updates on the student life calendar, advertising around campus, and in your CPCC today e-mail for dates and times. E-Resources
The TRC website has several resources to help students research 4-year institutions of interest and tools to support students as they transfer from CPCC to their college or university. College Links provides searchable databases for students to learn more about both public and private schools. This site also has several databases to use in your college search. For those students who are curious about how their classes will transfer, Transferring CPCC Courses offers links and contacts to regional institutions to assist students figure out what what courses will transfer where. Their is also an entire space dedicated to the UNCC Transfer Admission Process.
College Informational Library
At the Transfer Resource Center Office, located in room 100 of the Central High Building on Central Campus, students can browse the extensive collection of college catalogs from a many regional public and private 4-year colleges and universities. The TRC also has an vast collection of college brochures and other information about specific 4 year programs with which CPCC worked to create program connections so students can complete two years at CPCC and be accepted into a specific program of study at the 4-year institution.
