International Evaluations

Central Piedmont Community College enrolls students representing more than 100 foreign countries, many of whom have studied at at least one college or university.

All international (non-U.S.) college transcripts need to be evaluated to determine how they might equal U.S. college credits and grades. To be accepted at CPCC, this evaluation should be performed by an agency recognized by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). To find a list of current NACES members, you may visit their website: www.naces.org.

If the original transcript is not in English, then you will be responsible for providing the evaluating agency with an English translation of your transcript. Different agencies have different standards for the type of translations they will accept, so, when choosing an agency to conduct your U.S. college credit evaluation, be sure to verify what they will require.

Please note: Course equivalencies based on terms such as “Excellent” or “Good” cannot be accepted by CPCC. A letter grade (A, B, C, D, or F), along with earned credit hours, must be provided for each course. Only courses completed with an A, B, or C will be considered for transfer credit by CPCC.

The official documents must be submitted to CPCC Student Records. The Records Office will need to see the original documents when the translation and evaluation are submitted. Once the official documents are submitted to Student Records, a CPCC request for transcript evaluation must be completed in order to have your documents evaluated by the College.
