How to request

Request procedures vary from one institution to another. Many institutions have online access where you can find the necessary steps for completing a request for information. If you are unable to locate your institution’s online information, you may contact them by phone to inquire about their transcript request process. Be sure to inform them that you need an OFFICIAL copy. Your transcripts may be sent directly to Student Records, Central Piedmont Community College, P.O. Box 35009, Charlotte, NC 28235. Any required fees for transcript processing must be paid prior to your institution sending us your transcript.

Your transcript(s) should be requested as early in your CPCC enrollment as possible so that all applicable credit will be included in your record. This will help you as well as your faculty advisor or a student counselor to know exactly where you stand in the completion of your program of study.

Please keep in mind that you do not need a transcript evaluation if you are only seeking prerequisite permission for a class. You simply need to bring a copy of your transcript to a student counselor at any of our campus locations and if the course(s) you have completed are equivalent to the necessary prerequisite(s) you are required to have, the student counselor will be able to remove the prerequisite block for you.
