Jess Cochran's career in the culinary industry spans almost 20 years and over two continents. He graduated with a culinary degree from El Centro Community College and worked at the famed Star Canyon in Dallas, TX. Chef Cochran then went to work in Italy where he received a Master Certificate in Italian Cuisine from the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Subsequent travels led to working at restaurants in the bucolic Greek Isles and in frigid, friendly Norway. Since returning stateside, he has taken executive leadership positions at organizations in Vail, CO and Charlotte, NC. Before joining CPCC in 2012, Chef Cochran was the lead instructor at the Art Institute of Charlotte, and received his Master in Business Administration from Queens University. He is a Certified Executive Chef and an active member of the American Culinary Federation. |
