Amy Bowen

Amy Bowen is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. Upon graduation, Amy worked at the CIA, having earned a fellowship in the famed Escoffier Restaurant where she met her husband, Jim. Amy has worked in many hospitality positions, such as dining room manager for the Pelican Beach Club in St. Thomas, and the Salem Cotton Company, a 375 seat restaurant in Winston-Salem. She began her travel career working for Piedmont/USAir in customer service, trained as an international agent that led to working for Japan Airlines and Mann Travels. Amy joined the Central Piedmont Community College team in December 1998 as Travel and Tourism Program Chair. She moved to Corporate and Continuing Education in August 2004 as Program Developer for Charlotte Cooks, the Dietary Manager Training program and wine training programs. Amy serves on the State Employee Credit Union advisory board. |
