GeoTech Center

The National Geospatial Technology Center of Excellence is partially funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and is dedicated to geospatial technology awareness.
Listed below are some of the activites for this grant...
*** College/University Faculty Training: A selected group of College/University Faculty will recieve geospatial training and then develop learning materials to use in their academic discipline. Each teacher is paid a $800.00 stipend for their participation. This program will begin July, 2009. For information and applications please click here...
K-12 Teacher Training: A selected group of teachers will recieve geospatial training and then develop a one week learning module for their classroom. Each teacher is paid a $700.00 stipend for their participation.
Scholarship Program: Two minority students per semester are awarded a $700.00 scholarship.
Conference Presentations:
The goal of the Geospatial Technology Center attending various conferences throughout the Southeast is to present staff and faculty current research and to promote Geospatial Technology education. The following lists conferences attended and presentations given at various conferences throughout the past year.
