Curriculum Programs and Courses
The Geomatics and Sustainability division offers a variety of degree programs designed to fulfill the needs of a diverse geospatial and sustainability workforce. Course content is aimed at providing the student with a broad background in Geographic Information Systems (G.I.S.), Global Positioning Systems (G.P.S.), Remote Sensing (RS) , and Sustainabilities Technology with practical applications in municipal, industrial, natural resources management, and other fields.
Students and professionals alike can choose between contiuning education courses for professional development, certificate and diploma programs to immeadiatly compete in the job market, or an applied associate degree for a comprehensive technical education in geospatial technology. Students and professionals can also combine courses from different contiuning education courses and degree paths to obtain multiple degrees, decreasing time spent in training while maximizing their educational benefit.
Course work consists of class and hands-on experience with GIS, GPS, and Remote Sensing technologies, including running and modifying current GIS software, creating and manipulating GIS databases, and operating GPS technology.
