Graphics

Discover a Career in Graphic Arts and Imaging Technology at CPCC!

Graphic Arts is one of the largest manufacturing industries in the world. Walk into a grocery store and it’s hard not to notice the dazzling graphics on food and beverage packaging.  All of these items have been mass-produced using one or more of the major Graphic Production processes, such as Flexography, Screen Printing, Lithography or Digital Print.  Many of the items we touch and feel on a daily basis have undergone some form of print process. Some of these items include books, magazines, bed sheets, clothing, electronics, labels, cups, boxes and many more.

Graphic Arts and Imaging Technology (GAIT) at CPCC offers students two degrees and six certificates covering topics that include: electronic and traditional printing, publishing, packaging, digital imaging, computer graphics, website development, digital photography, printable electronics and other related areas. Through hands-on experience, students learn specific skills of the graphic reproduction process from image generation, production, ink formulation and testing, finishing operations and more.

Graduates are in high demand by leading local, national and international corporations. Types of jobs range from computer production artist, print press operator, customer service, production planner, bindery technician and salesperson.
