Who is eligible to participate?
Summer & Fall graduates of degree and diploma programs from the previous year, as well as current Spring graduates, are invited to participate in this ceremony. Summer 2012 potential graduates with good GPAs who can demonstrate to the Graduation Office that they have two courses or less with a maximum of seven credits that they will complete during the summer 2012 term may request permission from the Graduation Office to participate in the 2012 ceremony. These students should provide proof of registration for the final courses. This request should be made when the student applies for graduation during the published dates. Please note: The names of potential summer 2012 graduates will not appear in the program.
When will I receive information about the ceremony?
Detailed information is mailed to eligible students in April.
Where can I purchase my cap and gown?
Caps and gowns can be reserved online through midnight on March 20, 2012 by clicking here. Reserved caps and gowns may be picked up April 24-25, 2012, at the Central Campus Bookstore.
Is there a rehearsal for the graduation ceremony?
There is no rehearsal for the college graduation ceremony.
What time should I arrive at the graduation ceremony?
Information about arrival times is forthcoming. Please arrive in your cap and gown, as there are no dressing rooms available for students. Please also make arrangements to leave your belongings (purses, cell phones, etc) with someone else, as there are no lockers available.
How many guests may I invite? Do they need tickets?
All seating is first-come, first-serve. You may invite as many guests as you like and they do not need tickets to gain admission to Bojangles' Coliseum.
How much does parking cost?
Parking for the evening is free.
How long will the ceremony take?
The ceremony will last approximately two hours.
Will I receive my degree or diploma at the ceremony?
Degree and diplomas are not issued at the ceremony. All students receive a congratulatory letter from the College President.
