Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina
Purpose of Agency:
Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina’s mission is to end hunger in 16 counties by distributing food to over 500 agencies, such as soup kitchens, emergency shelters, group homes, food pantries, and low income daycares.

Charlotte Rescue Mission
Purpose of Agency:
The Charlotte rescue Mission provides a free, 90 day residential recovery program to predominately homeless men and women addicted to drugs and or alcohol. This program includes the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. The men’s program supervises a 138-bed facility. The women’s program is a 12-bed facility. Through our program clients receive: food, clothing, lodging; individual and group counseling; addiction education; worship services; life skills training; family education and services; and an opportunity for GED completion.
