The Charlotte Skyline Run will be timed with the ChampionChip system, an automatic timing, identification and registration device. Each 5k participant will be assigned a chip, which must be picked up race morning (even if the packet was picked up early). The chip is tied on the shoe before the race, and will be collected by volunteers after crossing the finish line. Please note that you will be assessed a $30 charge if your chip is not returned.

All 5k registrants, including walkers, baby joggers, and wheel chair athletes, will be assigned chips.

Chips will not be used for the fun run.

Note: If you have your own ChampionChip, enter it's number if you register online.  Otherwise, bring it with you when you pick up your packet so its number can be entered in the database.  If you pick up your packet race day, let the volunteers know you own your own chip and they will direct you to the timers who will enter its number.
