Finding e-books using
Most of the materials found in our catalog are physical items: books, magazines, videos, DVDs, etc.  However, we do have a collection of over 20,000 electronic books that are completely full-text and accessible online through a service called netLibrary.  You can find e-books through our catalog and access them from home, but please note:  You should create an account before you read an e-book at home.

Let's say you're trying to find e-books on the subject of leadership in business.  Search for "leadership business" in the Subject Keyword field.  This results in about two dozen resources.  To limit to e-books, choose Limit By: Online Resources and click Go.  There are about a dozen e-books that result.  All e-books have [electronic resource] in the title.  You'll see from the results page the information looks a bit different: location is Online Library, Collection has ebook, the letters eb follow the call number, and the status is Online.  There is no due date.  To access the e-book, click the title.  Let's look at the title, Semper Fi: business leadership the Marine Corps Way by Dan Carrison and Rod Walsh.  The detailed record looks like a print book, except there is a web link.  If you click on it, it will take you to the book in netLibrary.
