For Mentors

Peer Mentors are student leaders who have been selected and trained to offer guidance to new students by helping them problem solve and connect to campus resources. Peer mentors also play key leadership roles in the facilitation of New Student Orientations and other First Year Experience events.
Benefits of becoming a Peer Mentor:

- Enhance your personal growth, knowledge and interpersonal skills
- Increase your ability to solve complex problems while assisting new students
Criteria for becoming a Peer Mentor:
- Ability to participate in summer training

Maintained a 3.0 cumulative grade point average

Established leadership skills at CPCC or in the community

Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours during the Fall semester

Ability to dedicate a minimum of 2 hours per week to mentoring during the Fall semester
