Peer Mentoring Program
The first semester of college presents many opportunities and challenges for new students. The most important variable in being a successful student is getting involved and participating in the college's many programs, events and activities. The Peer Mentoring Program takes place during the Fall semester and provides guidance to new students transitioning to college life.
New students receive the following from the Peer Mentors:
- Coaching on effective study skills
- Support, advice and encouragement
- An opportunity to make positive friendships on campus
- Strategies for adapting to a new academic environment
- An inside track on helpful college support services and resources
Participation requirements:
- Enrolled in your first or second semester at CPCC
- Ability to participate in program activities - weekly lunches, teambuilding events, opening and closing ceremonies.
